Application analysis of modified PP in interior decoration parts:
Automotive interior parts are made of modified PP materials, such as instrument panels, door panels, and pillar trim panels. The industry has conducted a lot of research and put into production modeling for the modified polypropylene materials used for the instrument panel body and the lower guard plate, the door panel body, and the pillar trim. In the development of new models, the selection of parts and materials is more determined based on comprehensive factors such as model positioning, cost, regulations, and performance. For example, A-class cars (entry-level passenger cars) and B-class cars have certain differences in the selection of parts and materials due to target customers and vehicle cost pressures and lightweight requirements.
A. Class passenger cars pay attention to the economy of interior parts. For example, hard dashboards, hard door panels, and hard pillars are generally used, and their surfaces are generally not or rarely decorated with fabrics or leather. Therefore, the properties of plastic parts such as heat and oxygen aging resistance, light aging resistance, scratch resistance, white mark resistance, and stickiness resistance are basically determined by the related properties of modified PP plastic particles.
B. Class passenger cars pay attention to the decoration of interior parts, so fabric or leather decorations are often added to the surface of the dashboard frame, door panel, and pillar trim. At the same time, the improvement of assembly performance requires materials with better performance (mechanics, etc.); with the requirement of lightweight, the lightweight design of components requires lighter materials. For example: selection of soft instrument panel skeleton material, mainly PP-LGF40; main mechanical properties highlight high modulus and high rigidity, key mechanical indicators: tensile strength ≧40MPa, modulus ≧4000MPa, notched impact ≧10kJ/m2
