PLA-LCF is a long carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid composite engineered for lightweight structural and demanding industrial applications. The combination of a bio-based PLA matrix and long carbon fibers provides enhanced stiffness, tensile strength, dimensional stability and mechanical durability, while maintaining the lightweight and renewable characteristics of PLA.
Compared with conventional short carbon fiber reinforced PLA, the long fiber reinforcement network improves load transfer efficiency, resulting in superior mechanical performance, high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent structural stability and enhanced durability.
