Product Information
LFT-G® CPP LGF 40 is a long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene copolymer containing 40% long glass fiber.
The long-fiber reinforcement provides an excellent combination of high strength, stiffness, impact resistance and dimensional stability, while maintaining a lightweight profile compared with traditional metal solutions.
The material is suitable for injection-molded structural components requiring reliable mechanical performance under demanding operating conditions.
Depending on application requirements, customized formulations are available with different fiber contents, pellet lengths, colors and functional additives.
Which Is Better: PP Homopolymer or Copolymer?
Neither material is universally better. The optimal choice depends on the specific application and required performance.
| Property | PP Homopolymer | PP Copolymer |
| Stiffness | Excellent | Very Good |
| Strength | Excellent | Very Good |
| Impact Resistance | Good | Excellent |
| Toughness | Good | Excellent |

| High-Impact Applications | △ | ✓ |
PP Homopolymer generally offers higher stiffness, hardness and strength, making it suitable for applications where rigidity and mechanical performance are the primary requirements.
PP Copolymer provides a better balance of stiffness, impact resistance and toughness, making it particularly suitable for demanding structural applications where durability and impact performance are important.
When reinforced with long glass fibers, PP Copolymer can provide an excellent balance of strength, stiffness, impact resistance and dimensional stability, making it a preferred choice for many structural applications.
At LFT-G, we provide both PP Homopolymer and PP Copolymer long-fiber reinforced compounds.
