What is Glass-Filled PPA?

PPA-LGF50 is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic composite consisting of Polyphthalamide (PPA) reinforced with 50% Long Glass Fiber (LGF). Manufactured using an advanced pultrusion process, continuous glass fibers are fully impregnated with molten PPA resin before pelletizing, allowing significantly better fiber length retention after injection molding than conventional short glass fiber reinforced materials.

Compared with standard PA66, PA6, or short glass fiber reinforced PPA, PPA-LGF50 offers substantially higher stiffness, tensile strength, creep resistance, dimensional stability, and fatigue performance, especially under elevated temperatures and long-term mechanical loading.

PPA itself provides excellent heat resistance, low moisture absorption, outstanding chemical resistance, and superior electrical insulation. Combined with long glass fiber reinforcement, PPA-LGF50 becomes an ideal lightweight engineering material for demanding structural applications where metal replacement, high reliability, and long service life are required.
