7-15 days after shipmentPolyamide 66 (PA66) is one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics. It offers excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, insulation properties, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
However, PA66 also has limitations such as relatively high water absorption, dimensional instability under humidity, and reduced impact performance at low temperatures. To overcome these weaknesses, long glass fiber reinforcement is widely used to significantly enhance its performance.
Adding long glass fiber (LGF) into PA66 resin significantly improves its mechanical and thermal properties while maintaining good processability.
The performance improvement is closely related to fiber content. Typically, PA66 with 20%–40% long glass fiber shows a significant increase in strength, stiffness, and load-bearing capability.
Long glass fiber reinforcement greatly improves tensile, flexural, and impact strength, making PA66 suitable for structural components.
PA66-LGF materials maintain stability under high temperatures and are suitable for automotive under-the-hood applications.
Reduced shrinkage and warpage ensure better precision in molded parts.
Ideal for moving and load-bearing components such as gears and mechanical housings.
