Xiamen, ChinaPA12 (Polyamide 12) is a long carbon chain nylon made from butadiene. It is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent toughness, low water absorption, and high dimensional stability.
PA12 is the most widely used long carbon chain nylon. It offers a balanced combination of mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and lightweight performance.
Compared with PA11, PA12 uses butadiene as raw material, which is more cost-efficient and enables broader industrial applications.
PA12 has a density of only 1.01–1.03 g/cm³, making it one of the lightest engineering plastics.
Melting range: 172–178°C, suitable for automotive and industrial applications.
